Bella's Roses

Hello everyone!  Just a quick post from me tonight to share a card I made using another one of Conie Fong's adorable images, Dozen Roses.   I can only assume that this is the same little bear named Bella from an earlier post called Bella's Heart.  This image is available at SweetPeaStamps.com as a digital stamp, although I used the rubber stamp version.

Bella with the heart I had colored with Copics, this little cutie I colored with distress markers.  She is probably the best example of my experience with distress markers..lol.  I love the way she turned out.   She's kind of a bigger image (which I love for coloring) so I went with a 6x6 card size.   I'll be sure to list all the supplies below.

Sweet Pea Stamps has a facebook fan page that has a progressive challenge.  Their newest one is about a week in.  I'll be adding this card over there and a couple of more challenges which I will list below.

Tiddly Inks Have Heart!

Hello everyone!  Over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog the challenge this week is Have Heart!  Anything with hearts and of course, any of the adorable Tiddly Inks images.  It just so happened that I still had out my Heartstrings paper from CTMH.  What could be more perfect?

This is a very simple standard A2 horizontal folding card.  I used the Mini and Many Friends stamp set.  I had stamped out several of these little images last time I had them out and had them colored up and ready to go. The assembly was quite simple.  The love sentiment is from a Studio G mini stamp set from long ago.  I put a little CTMH puffie in the center. I'll be sure to list all the supplies below.

I'll be entering this little darling into a couple of challenges, which I will also list below.

Have a great week everyone!  Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Just Got Cuter - All Dressed Up

Hello everyone.  I'm back!  This is my second post for today, which is highly unusual for me, but I couldn't resist sharing this one.  I stumbled upon a site for digi stamps called All Dressed Up.  Oh my goodness, what some adorable images.  They have a few freebies on the site, too.  So I grabbed this little puppy which came with a sentiment that said, "Cute just got cuter."  I don't know what his name is, but that certainly fits.  I made a couple of cards with him.  I decided I would try for a one layer card using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch for their 200th celebration.  Here's the sketch...

http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2015/08/freshly-made-sketches-200-celebration.html

and here's my card...

I am completely enamored with this little guy.   The image is looking up, so I had to come up with something he was looking at.  I thought he might have been a little sad, like he lost his balloon.  So, that's what he got and big red balloon, that he lost..lol.  It was while making this card I realized I didn't have a outline stamp of a balloon.  It seemed a bit impossible, but in any case, I couldn't find one.  The balloon here was die cut with the Balloons die set from SSS from some Copic Xpressit paper.  I colored it to match his little bow.  I wanted this to be all one layer, and it is, except the balloon.  I adhered it directly to my card front without any dimensional adhesive, so it's still pretty flat.   I printed this little fellow on some Neenah 110# cardstock.  The clouds are just drawn in with my Copics.  I'll list all the supplies below.

I'll be entering this card in a few challenges, which I will list below as well.   I think this little guy will be starring in a few more cards in the near future, so keep a look out.  You can also go grab him yourself here.  Apparently, he's been out for a while.  I'm always a day late and a dollar short though..lol.

This really is it for me today. Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches #200

Hello everyone!  Freshly Made Sketches is celebrating their 200th sketch this week.  I didn't want to miss out on the fun!  I made a couple of birthday cards and thought I would share.  These were inspired by Vicki Wizniuk at the Wizard's Hangout.  She's a fellow CTMH consultant who creates some really gorgeous things.  I thought it went along perfectly with the sketch this week.

I made two cards using the same layout and stamp sets, just in different color schemes. Both are standard A2 cards.  The first has Glacier, Flaxen, and Sorbet with kraft.

This second card uses Lagoon, Whisper, Cranberry, and Black.  The one above has Bitty Opaques for the flower centers.  The one below I used Bitty Sparkles.

Here's the inside.

That's it for me this morning.  I'll list the supplies for you below.   Be sure to stop in at Freshly Made Sketches and join in on their celebration.   Thanks for stopping by!

Heartstrings

Hello everyone!  I have a card to share with you tonight made with an image by MiRan Jung called Heartstrings.  She's the image for this month's progressive challenge on Artbymiran's facebook page

When I heard the name of the image was Heartstrings I knew immediately which paper I needed to use.  Heartstrings, of course!  Heartstrings was one of the paper packs from CTMH in the 2015 Seasonal Expressions book.  Although the paper is not available any longer, the complements, assortments, and Picture My Life is still available.

This ended up being a 5x7 horizontal folding card.  I printed her on Copic Xpressit paper.  I tried printing her on regular Neenah cardstock, but I got a lot of smearing from my ink :(  I even heat set it.  It doesn't normally do that.  I ended up going with the Xpressit and it seem to minimize the problem, but it was more than normal.  If anyone has any suggestions, I would love the hear them.  I'm still new to the digi stamp world.

When I got finished coloring her she looked like she needed a little bling.  I added some bitty sparkles in Clear and Lagoon to make her look like she had on earrings and a necklace.  I just couldn't resist.  Here's a closer look.

I think this is just an adorable image and she was fun to color as well.  I have a few challenges I'll be entering her into, which I will list below, along with the supplies I used.

That's it for me tonight.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wishful Asha Wishing

Hello everyone!  A quick post tonight to share another card that I made using the Wishful Asha digi stamp from Make It Crafty.  Right now Make It Crafty has a challenge going on to use one of their images in a CAS card and crop the image.   This maybe a little more than the average CAS.  I'm not sure what exactly constitutes CAS, but this one no embellishments and just one patterned paper.  I hope it works.

This card is a 5x7 card.  I thought this image was a little too big after coloring it for a standard A2 card, even with the cropping.  The sentiment is cut from fun foam using the SSS Wishing die.  I originally had cut it to use behind paper for added dimension, but then thought it worked just by itself.   It's also very pliable when cut from fun foam.

I have had a lot of fun coloring this image. I'll be posting this card in a few challenges which I will list below, along with the supplies.

That's it for me tonight.  Thanks for stopping by!

Love You to the Moon and Back

Hello everyone!  Just a quick post to share with you a card I made for the second part of Sweet Pea Stamps Progressive Challenge on Facebook.  Previously, I had posted a card made with Conie Fong's Bella.  That was for the first part of the challenge, then they pick an image for you to use on the second part.  This month it's Courtney Mcansh's To the Moon and Back.

I made this into a 5x7 card.  I printed the image on CTMH White Daisy cardstock and used the same for my front panel.  I printed it a second time on regular paper so I could cut it and use it as a guide to cut my masking paper.  After I got it masked then I used some inks with my trusty little dauber and created my backgrounds.  I colored my image with my Copics and then coated it with Wink of Stella.  After I put my stars on, I decided to put a sentiment in the lower right corner.  I stamped my sentiment in versamark and then heat embossed it with super fine silver embossing powder.  You can't see it well in the picture above.  Below is a better look at the detail from another angle.

At first, I was uncertain of what to do exactly with this image.  It was a little out of my wheelhouse, but I really like the way it turned out.  I have always loved the saying, as well.

If you get the chance,  stop by Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans Facebook page and join up.  You will be able to see all the lovely artwork and enter their challenges. I'll be posting this one there and on a few other challenges, which I will list below, along with the supplies I used to make it.

That's it for me tonight.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wishful Asha

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.  Tomorrow is the first day of school for us here.  Chaos will ensue I am sure.  I'm taking advantage of my moment of peace and quiet to share with you a card I made with the Make It Crafty Image, Wishful Asha.   She's the image of the month at The Outlawz Challenges Progressive Challenge.

I thought I would try something a little different.  I go back and forth between a little bit fussy and CAS.  I even colored a background for her.  This is a digital image and she's printed on Copic Xpressit.  This time I did have a little problem with bleeding on the really black parts of the image.  I think I need to heat set those that have a concentrated amount of black in areas.

There are a couple of challenges I'll be posting her on, which I will list below, along with the supplies I used for her.

That's it for me today. I hope everyone has a wonderful week.  Thanks for stopping by!

Rosy Cheek Emma - For You

Hello everyone!   I'm excited today to share with you a card I made for my guest designer spot on ArtbyMiRan Challenge Blog.   A couple of weeks back I had entered the challenge with my Marie Mariposa card and was chosen to be a guest designer for challenge #38.  It was very hard to choose from all the beautiful images MiRan has on her Etsy shop, but I ended up picking this image and, of course, a fairy named Flutterby.  Here is the card I made with Rosy Cheek Emma which is featured on the blog.

I'm still kind of new to the  digital stamp format, as far as how to print them efficiently, or to the correct size for that matter.  For this image, I did flip the stamp to face the right, instead of the left.  That is one of the advantages of using a digi stamp versus a rubber stamp.  I printed her as if she were a 3x5 picture so she would fit nicely on my 6x6 card.

I'm going to do things a little differently and spare you all the details on the making of this card and list the supplies below.  ( I actually remember to write them all down this time..yay!)

If you have a chance, do stop by and check out the Artbymiran Challenge Blog.  The challenge is always "Anything Goes" and you have a chance to win some beautiful images by the wonderfully talented artist Mi Ran Jung.  There is always tons of inspiration on there, too.

That's it for me today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bella's Heart

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I have a couple of  cute little cards to share with you this evening.   I had colored an image from Conie Fong called Bella.  It has become a goal of mine to make cards with the images I have already colored.  This one is a little out of season, but I had to share.

Isn't she adorable?   I have this in a red rubber stamp, but she is available also in digital format from www.sweetpeastamps.com .   I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic markers.  The patterned paper is from the Heartstrings paper pack (retired) from CTMH and the solid cardstock is Cranberry and Lagoon.   The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Milo's ABC's.  Probably the best alpha set I have purchased.  I love it.

In the card below I used Cotton Candy cardstock from CTMH.  I couldn't resist coating her heart with some Wink of Stella.  I used my SSS Postage Stamp Edge Frame die set on this one. I left off the sentiment on this one so she could be used for any occasion.

Both were very simple cards.  I just love this little bear,  she warms my heart.

There are a few challenges I'll be posting one or the other of these two cards to, which I will list below.  Thanks for stopping by!
