Penny and Petunia in Thistle

Hello everyone!  Short post tonight.  I have another Penny and Petunia card to share with you.  This one I colored with distress markers for a more water-colored look.  Simon Says Stamp is having a make your own background challenge this week, so that is what I did.

This is a standard A2 horizontal side-fold card.  It's basically the same layout as my previous Petunia card.  For the patterned paper in the background, I used some good old White Daisy and ran it through the Bigkick with a Sizzix embossing folder called Flower Power.  I then used a dauber and some Thistle ink from CTMH and lightly rubbed over the flowers to make them look like patterned paper.  Sadly I didn't write down the names of the distress markers I used to color the stamp.  The sentiment is the one that comes with this stamp set.  I just think it's so sweet.

I'll enter this little card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

That's all for me tonight.  Thanks for stopping by!

Maisy and Madeline

Hello everyone! Another quick post with another Stampingbella stamp.  I adore their sweet images.  This is Maisy and Madeline have some tea.

This is a standard A2 horizontal fold card.  I colored it with Copics on Xpressit paper.  The patterned paper is from my scrap stack, but I do believe it was a K Co. paper pack from long ago.  I just loved the soft muted colors.  I used my Memory Box stitched circle layers dies to cut my cuties out and frame them. The stitched border on the pattern paper is Pretty Pink Posh.  I threw on some sequins and called it done.  The image was so cute, I didn't think it needed anything else.

I will be entering this one in a couple of challenges, which I will list below. Thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Cake

Hello everyone!  Just a quick post today to share a card I made for the daughter of a dear friend of mine, who is getting married.  It's a very simple card.  I fashioned it after a card I saw on Pinterest.  Sadly, there was no watermark, so I am unable to give credit.

I think if I had this to do over again, I would have added some sort of sentiment in the top left, but I still thought it turned out cute.  The stamp is a Doodlebug Design stamp that has the accompanying die set.   I colored it with Copics and mounted it on the front with 3d foam tape.  The flash barely catches the hearts in the background.  They are a stamp from CTMH called Cascading Backgrounds.  I stamped them and then heat embossed them with white powder.  It gives just a little added interest, much like the Wink of Stella on the cake frosting.   I still have some scraps from the Vintage Bliss paper pack, so I threw a little border of that in there, too.  Voila!

This week on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, the challenge is It Must Be Love.  I thought getting married certainly must qualify :)
