My friend, Kim, and I took a day and did some card making on Friday. She brought her Christmas stamps that I didn't have. When I get a chance with stamps I don't have, I tend to stamp a bunch of images and hope I can use them later. Well I took advantage of her Christmas Cheer. This stamp set is so cute.
The striped paper is from Believe (retired). The plaid on the inside of the card is its reverse side. The cardstock is Holiday Red (retired) and Sky. The card on the left is a 4.5 x 4.5 card and I used the corner rounder to give it the scalloped edge. The one on the right is die-cut card Kim had and traded me for some other card I had.
I colored Santa in with Copics markers R14 and R17 for his suit and E00 for his face. I thought the red was a great match for the paper. The blue is CTMH's Sky marker set. The sentiment is stamped in Sky ink and I used a dauber to color around the edge of the frame shape, which was cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy. I added a little sparkle above the "I" for the only bling on this card ( I had to throw some in somewhere :))
Here's one with Santa and his trusty little elf. This one is a 5x7 card.
I used the same colors with the addition of the Sweet Leaf marker set to color in the little fellow's shoes and presents. The banner is from the Cricut Artiste cartridge and the sentiment , inside and out, is from the Christmas Love stamp set. You can't really tell from the picture, but I used 3d foam tape and popped the little guy off the page, as well as the banner, just to add a little dimension.
I just love this stamp set. This little Santa and his elf just make me smile. It just so happens that H2H Challenges is open for all things Christmas until the end of the month. I'll be posting this there. Be sure to stop by there for more inspiration and smiles. They always have some beautiful work over there.
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be posting another card as soon as I get it uploaded, so check back soon.
Stay safe and have a Merry Christmas!
These are such fun cards, I love how your Santa turned out!
