Believe

Christmas is almost upon us.  Where has the year gone? Try as I might to get things caught up, it's just not working.  I'm still working on my Halloween layouts..lol.  Maybe sometime after Christmas I can get those done...maybe.  One reason I can't get them done is keep getting distracted by shiny, glittery, Christmas things.  Which is not always a bad thing.  I did take a break from the Moonlight to do a little Believe.

My friend, Kim,  and I took a day and did some card making on Friday.  She brought her Christmas stamps that I didn't have.  When I get a chance with stamps I don't have, I tend to stamp a bunch of images and hope I can use them later.  Well I took advantage of her Christmas Cheer.  This stamp set is so cute.

The striped paper is from Believe (retired).  The plaid on the inside of the card is its reverse side.  The cardstock is Holiday Red (retired) and Sky.   The card on the left is a 4.5 x 4.5 card and I used the corner rounder to give it the scalloped edge.  The one on the right is die-cut card Kim had and traded me for some other card I had.

I colored Santa in with Copics markers R14 and R17 for his suit and E00 for his face.  I thought the red was a great match for the paper. The blue is CTMH's Sky marker set.  The sentiment is stamped in Sky ink and I used a dauber to color around the edge of the frame shape, which was cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy.  I added a little sparkle above the "I" for the only bling on this card ( I had to throw some in somewhere :))

Here's one with Santa and his trusty little elf.  This one is a 5x7 card.

I used the same colors with the addition of the Sweet Leaf marker set to color in the little fellow's shoes and presents.  The banner is from the Cricut Artiste cartridge and the sentiment , inside and out, is from the Christmas Love stamp set.  You can't really tell from the picture, but I used 3d foam tape and popped the little guy off the page, as well as the banner, just to add a little dimension.

I just love this stamp set.  This little Santa and his elf just make me smile.  It just so happens that H2H Challenges is open for all things Christmas until the end of the month.  I'll be posting this there.  Be sure to stop by there for more inspiration and smiles.  They always have some beautiful work over there.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be posting another card as soon as I get it uploaded, so check back soon.

Stay safe and have a Merry Christmas!

Monogram Stamps - A Personal Touch

One of my favorite things from the Autumn/Winter 2012 catalog is the introduction of our monogram stamps.  I love these little guys.  For only $2.95 you can have your own monogram stamp. Here's a few ideas from Close to My Heart on how to use these little gems.

These stamps make great little gifts or to keep for yourself to personalize your own cards and scrapbook projects.  If you would like to order one of these or any of the products shown, please feel free to visit my website or contact me and I'll be happy to put your order in.  There is still time to get in on the Mystery Hostess gathering.  It will be open until December 14, 2012.  Remember starting December 13, you will be able to order the Whoo's Your Valentine promotion as well.  With a $35 purchase you can get this kit for only $10.

For every $25 spent on my website before December 14, you will receive an entry to win $25 in hostess rewards.

Seems as though I haven't had much time for crafting a midst the preparation for Christmas.  I did manage to get my Christmas tree up and some presents wrapped.  The cards are almost in the mail.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season.

While Supplies Last

Even though I know better than to post anything after 10:00 (I'm usually too tired to think straight past that time :) I just wanted to share with you that Close to My Heart has added a few new things to their While Supplies Last page.  Not only did they add new things, but some of the items that were on the page have been further reduced.  This is your chance to get your hands on some of those retired paper packs, stickease and coordinating embellishments for $1.50 to $4.00 each, an incredible savings.  Be sure to check it out!  If you do make an order  make sure you click to join the Mystery Hostess gathering.  For every $25 you spend, you will get an entry into the drawing on December 15th for $25 in free hostess rewards.  What a great way to start the Christmas season, great bargains and a chance to win freebies!

I'm hoping within the next little bit I might be able to get back to the crafting board.  The holidays have been so hectic I haven't been able to accomplish much.  So bear with me and hopefully soon I will have some new things to post.   My intentions were to get the holiday scrapping up to date.  (Well, my intentions were good at least!)

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving and took lots of pictures.  Because we all know...

Congratulations and More Christmas Cards

Congratulations to Ms. Barbara!  She won the Mystery Hostess for October and received $25 in freebies from Close to My Heart.  Anytime you see a "Mystery Hostess" gathering on my website, feel free to jump in.  For every $25 you spend on my website, you get an entry for a chance to win $25 in hostess rewards to be spent on ink, paper, stamps, etc. throughout the book.  At the end of the month, if orders total $150 or more,  one lucky winner will be drawn.  Don't forget, Studio J orders count as well.

I would also like to thank everyone that stopped by the Fall Festival.  It turned out to be such a pretty day.  I have been kicked into high gear trying to get ready for that.  Now, that it's over with, I can get back to business as usual in a little more relaxed mode.

Its seems as though I totally skipped all the other holidays and just jumped into Christmas card mode. There are just so many beautiful cards out there.  Everywhere you look is decorated for Christmas.  Some places started months ago. With only a month and half left, I am no where near through with what I had planned to be through with, but such is the story of my life.  I did finish making the rest of my little snowmen from the stamp set Flakey Friends.  I have had such a good time with this set.

These are the last of the ones I had stamped.  I did the one on the left in Cranberry and Pear.  The one on the right is Cotton Candy and Pear.  I just wanted to see how many color variations I could use with these little guys for Christmas.  I just think they are adorable.  This stamp set is just snow much fun! (sorry couldn't resist :))

While in the flaky mood, I decided to try another card.  This one was inspired by Allisa Chilton over at Rocky Mountain Paper Crafts.  She has some wonderful cards and a great blog if you haven't checked her out.

For mine, I used Sky, Indian Corn Blue, and White Daisy cardstock.  This card is 6x6.  I cut the bigger snowflake from  from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge on page 22.  Than I layered a smaller snowflake from page 27 of the same cartridge.  The sentiment is from the Perfect Fit-Holidays stamp set and is stamped in Indian Corn Blue.  The background paper on this card is actually second generation stamping using the snowflake from Pear & Partridge Scrapbooking Workshop stamp set with Indian Corn Blue ink.   Here's the inside.

This sentiment is from the To You and Yours stamp set.  I used another snowflake, same as the outside one, only reversed color and used the fallout from the largest one for the center.  You can barely see the stamping on the inside of the card, but I did the same thing as  for the background on the outside of the card.   A couple of blue sparkles from my stash and called it done.

That's all for now.  Sorry for the long post.  Hopefully, I will have more to post soon.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Happy Scrapping!
