Easter Chick

Hello everyone!  I thought I was through with the SSS March card kit, but the more I looked at that yellow, the more ideas I had.  I found a little Easter Chick I had actually gotten from a friend for Christmas.  I had to take advantage of all the yellow.

The shimmery yellow paper and the polka dot paper are from the card kit.   I used the small flowers from the Flowers on My Mind stamp set that came with the kit to make the background.  I used CTMH Canary ink.  I colored my little chick with Copic markers.  I realized I didn't have a Happy Easter sentiment, so I ended up printing one out and then using the SSS Tilted Banners die set to cut it out.  It's a little off, but was the best I could do with the printed sentiment and a tilted  I used some more of the yellow ribbon from my stash to make a little bow.

I stamped out several images of this little chick, so you will probably be seeing him some more.  Especially, since it's coming up on Easter.

The Wednesday Challenge Blog at Simon Says Stamp has an "Anything Goes" challenge this week.  I think I shall post my little chick over there.  There is always some lovely art and inspiration over there, so be sure you go check them out.

That's it for me tonight.  I hope everyone has a lovely upcoming week.  Thanks for stopping by!
