This first one I made for a friend of mine to give to her little boy. I really thought this little guy was so cute. The image came from Tiddly Inks. He was a digital image and he was on sale! Cute and cheap, can it get much better?
I believe the image is called King of the Wild Things. I printed him out and colored him with my Copic markers. The printed paper is from a SSS card kit from a couple of months back. I didn't have a sentiment that I thought fit, so I typed it out and then die cut with a Sizzix hearts die. I didn't have any cardstock the color I wanted nor did I have a die that gave the heart the reveal around the edge I wanted. I used the same die I cut the words out with and turned it over and traced it on plain white cardstock. I carefully cut it out and then used the same color marker to color the edges that would show. Problem solved. I used my Dienamics Pinking Edge die to put the pinked edge on the red cardstock. The little ball on the end of his scepter got replaced with a heart, just for the occasion.
I'll be entering this little guy in two challenges. Because he is a Valentine's Day card, he fits the bill for the challenge over at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog. Because he has a heart, he fits in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. Both blogs have tons of inspiration. Be sure to check them out.
That's it for me tonight. I'll be posting some more Valentine's later in the week, so be sure to check back in.
